Happy New Year

cowls, and more cowls.

then, mittens. but first this fun pattern thanks to leslie's recommendation.

aside from the seed stitch cowls from the previous post, there were about 13 of these made. fun gift giving.

i apologize for the instagram pics. hard to pin anyone down around here, even though there are a few of these cowls in the wool basket to wear for a photo. ahem.

next, one of my favorite quick knits were these mittens.  i used a basic mitten pattern. anyone would do, really. about five or six years ago, lib took our processed wool from our own ewes to a friend of mine who dyed it with her. after so many cowls i was looking for a quick project and these were perfect. it was fun to see how they came together. i can tell you it was so neat to feel a bit of the lanolin still in the wool, along with bits of organic matter, ie: straw. and she will tell you, they are the thickest mittens she's ever owned!

and, currently i am working on these.

pulled from a few patterns/info/catalog inspiration. lib's idea. once they are done, i'll share a proper post. she is off curling for now. she'll return in a week, so i'll be sure to get a photo with them on her hands!

and finally, i'm back here for a 365. after this fall, it feels good to be back.
a new year.
a happy NEW year to you all! xo
